Walks, excursions and holidays
After a full and tiring day cycling to the Ardèche river, on Friday I just made a short trip to the next village, Cornillon, to look around.
Thursday dawned, and I fancied trying to reach the Ardèche river where it twists and winds through a gorge. The area is a nature reserve and it promised some spectacular views. I wasn’t disappointed.
Wednesday took us to the nearby town of Goudargues to look around the market.
I cycled to a monastry, Chartreuse de Valbonne, followed by a visit to the limestone rock formations on the River Cèze and the nearby village la Roque sur Cèze.
We were staying in the hamlet of Privat, in a renovated villa (“La Parran”) with swimming pool, surrounded by vineyards and lush countryside.
