Walks, excursions and holidays
We stopped in Stade on our way home from a weekend at some friends in the country. It has a wonderful old town centre with beautifully-maintained fachwerk buildings and an old crane in what used to be the harbour.
Last Sunday, 4th August, I headed off to Spittal of Glenshee for a 17-mile walk taking in two Munros; Glas Tulaichean and Carn an Righ.
A wee trip to Glasgow after work on a sunny Friday afternoon. Almost all of this 11-mile trip was on cycle paths and included crossing the Clyde on the Yoker-Renfrew passenger Ferry.
