Edinburgh 2006
Monday, 06 February 2006 00:00
I've been in Edinburgh for about 4 weeks, staying with friends and helping with some DIY. I'm writing this on the train back to Glasgow. It's 11:45am and there's a guy drinking a can of Tennant's opposite; Monday mornings can be tough for some.
Heading home for a night to pack for the next stage of my travels. I'll be heading up to Jacqui's Herbalist's Garden near Aberfeldy.
Dearest sister #1 has requested some photographs of chilly Edinburgh -- I'm only too happy to oblige. It's well known that Edinburgh has Wonderful Architecture; grandiose, historical and evocative. Hopefully these images capture some of that spirit...

Architectural highlights of Edinburgh in January 2006
Last Friday I visited Redhall Walled Gardens. Redhall is a beautiful, peaceful spot with lots of funky features: a woodhenge, an iron-age hut, a Zen garden. They sell plants, compost and leaf mulch, and I recommend anyone in Edinburgh to take a wander down there to check it out.
